Plums

OZARK PREMIER - This plum variety is a cross between Methley and Burbank. The fruit we have seen is bigger than either of its parents. Yellow flesh with reddish skin when ripe. A good sized fruit can be attained easily by thinning. Self-fruitful. Ripens late June.

METHLEY - A deep red plum with red flesh. Medium size. Mild flavor excellent for fresh eating or jelly. Ripens early June. Self-fruitful. Serves as excellent pollinator.

MORRIS - A medium size, red to purple plum with red flesh to the seed. Early June ripening. A Texas A & M selection. May require a pollinator.

ALL RED - Red leaves, red fruit. A nice ornamental shade tree. Fine fruit. Ripens June.

HIAWATHA - Cherry-plum hybrid is almost black when full ripe and as sweet as a black cherry. The tree makes a bush rather than upright growth. Fruit is small, usually about in 3/4”diameter. Ripens mid-June.

STANLEY PRUNE PLUM - Widely planted European plum. Oval shaped, deep purple fruit with a golden-yellow, delicious freestone flesh. Great eaten fresh, canned or dried. Abundant crops ripen in early September. Self fertile.

RAINBOW WILD PLUM
- A mixture of four wild plum collections made at different Texas locations. Tree is small, no taller than 10 foot. Multicolored fruit varies in color from yellow to orange, to red. Ripens June thru September. The 1/2” diameter fruit makes very good wild plum jelly. Tree is good for wildlife food and cover or landscape.
